  • How can I let you know, Donna, when you so clearly do *not* get it? the non-smoker and smoker (friends) can agree on activities in which smoking is not part of it. They get to spend time together without smoke.

  • Oh, Joe - is standing up for freedom whining? There are still rights for non-smokers, get real. It's about choice. I'm not insisting that a smoker be allowed to enter a restaurant and sit next to you blowing smoke in your face.

  • Yes, kiwigirl, it is that simple. You could take turns going to non-smoking and smoking establishments. And you think it's fun for a smoker to go out with friends and have to run out into 5degree cold to grab a smoke? Smokers want to have fun, too.

  • Private property. Legal substance. How is it the government can tell a business owner that a legal substance cannot be allowed in the private citizen's place of business? Before our smoking ban (Santa Fe) there were several bars that did not allow smoking. It worked.
